I joined Sprinklr at April 2021 as a product designer, the first project I got was a completely new product for our client, Google. The catch was, I only have one month to design it.
Smart Trends is a standalone product under Modern Research, one of Sprinklr’s core products. Powered by AI, Smart trends enables brand strategists, PR teams, and any external communication-facing side of a brand, to be alerted and be informed about trending events around their organizations and global trends across countries.

Currently, brands have no way to see what’s currently “trending” across different social media channels, so there was an opportunity to create a unified view of different trending events around the world relating to their company and/or products called - Smart Trends.

I followed our existing looks & feels to explore the different layouts of widgets within Smart Trends to create a more cohesive experience for our users. Below were a few widgets and the many UI explorations I did.

Real Time Trends

The Real-Time Trends widget populates all the trends that have been detected irrespective of the datasets (lens) used, i.e. the trends irrespective of country or brand are available here.
This widget is the first thing they see when they land on the homepage. It needs to be informative for users to see what’s trending across all social media platforms. From here they can click on a “trend” and further investigate further on that specific trend. I explored different layouts and UI to make sure that it communicates the importance of trends for the user.

The regional trends widget populates all the trends that have been detected using the country-specific dataset (lens). This allows brands with different locations to see what’s trending in their regions.
My team helped identified what type of information was needed to be in the regional trends section. I explored different types of “trend cards” with the purpose of showcasing important information a user might want to see. As for the data visualization UIs, we want to adhere to the current design system for our infographics.
